Madrid Highlights Diversity and Coexistence
A new gathering in Madrid welcomed community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to reflect on the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The meeting included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the eu news farsi Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers shared reflections from faith, culture and public service on how mutual knowledge can reduce prejudice.
In the discussion, participants explored themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s emphasis on ethical values and community improvement. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity contributes to democratic life when supported by education and dialogue.
